- on Lake Como or in the Lugano area.
- you can either begin visiting "Santa
Maria degli Angeli", an old Franciscan church, with
beautiful frescoes by Bernardino Luini or with a walk

Nassa, the most "chic" shopping area in Lugano
ending with a visit to the "Villa
Ciani" or take a boat trip and visit the famous
picture gallery "Villa Favorita" (the Baron
Thyssen Bornemisza residence) with its amazing gardens.

enough points of interest to fill a sizable book by its own. No
day tripper should miss the city's centre with its treasures: il
Duomo, la "Galleria Vittorio Emanuele", il "Teatro
alla Scala"...
- world famous winter sport resort
situated in the spectacular Upper
Engadine Valley, visit of the town with its boutiques
and world famous five star hotels. You can take a
funicular and cable car and reach the top of
Piz Nair 3200 from where you have a fantastic view, or
you can launch at Corviglia 2400 m at Mathy's.

Armani new restaurant in downtown. Afternoon shopping
in Outlets nearby Como or just across the Swiss italian border

MENAGGIO
Is a town with international tourism flair. It's 30 km from Como
city away and 23 km from Lugano (Switzerland). In Menaggio you will
find a different selection of sport activities: sport center, tennis
courts, jogging area, small harbour for boats and motorboats, Golf
course with 18 holes, swimming pool with beach and it is possible to
swim in the lake. In town: lake promenade and pedestrian area, for
shopping you will find a large selection of shops, boutiques,
supermarket. Restaurants, pizzeria, cafè and ice-cream parlors for
gourmets. For daily foods, 2 supermarkets in town and many
department store in the surrounding area. Thanks to its geographical
position, Menaggio is an ideal departure point for walking tours or
excursions by boat or by car. Switzerland is not far from Menaggio:
you can easily get to Lugano in half an hour and St. Moritz in 1
hour and 45 min.
